The Power Tool Repair department is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of electric, pneumatic, and cordless power tools. This role ensures that all customer and company tools are serviced efficiently, safely, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our Machine Repairs team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical engineering experience while working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering and then progressing to Level 3 Apprenticeship through Northern Regional College.
You will learn from experienced technicians and develop the skills needed to diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of power tools and equipment used across the construction and industrial sectors while attending college on day release.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Engineering Apprentice, you will:
- Assist experienced technicians with diagnosing and repairing faults on power tools and equipment.
- Learn how to inspect, test and maintain electric, battery-powered and pneumatic tools.
- Develop an understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Help maintain workshop equipment, tools and stock.
- Learn how to read technical manuals and manufacturer information.
- Complete service records and repair documentation.
- Support the team in maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workshop.
- Attend Northern Regional College as required to complete your Level 2 qualification and progressing to Level 3.

You do not need previous engineering experience – full training will be provided.

Qualifications
Essential:
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
Desirable:
- GCSE Technology, Engineering, Science, or ICT
- An interest in mechanical or electrical engineering through school, hobbies or personal projects.
