Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Seamstress with excellent customer service abilities to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments while providing a friendly and professional experience to our clients. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where craftsmanship and customer satisfaction are valued.

Responsibilities

Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and garment alterations
Sew, alter, and repair clothing items using various techniques and sewing machines
Consult with customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on fabric choices and styles
Maintain a clean, organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored
Manage multiple projects efficiently to meet deadlines
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client queries and ensuring their satisfaction with finished products
Keep detailed records of alterations, measurements, and client preferences for future reference.
Managing customer orders for dry cleaning and alterations services.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor, with a strong portfolio of work
Excellent sewing skills across various fabrics and garment types
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
Good communication skills to effectively liaise with clients regarding their needs
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment is desirable.

Pay: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
