We are a well-established Freight Forwarding company seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our friendly team in a busy office environment.

Currently located in Romsey, SO51 we will be relocating to Southampton, SO15 in August 2026.

We seek a reliable individual who is flexible and hands on, with excellent attention to detail, and good organisational and communication skills.

Ideal for someone who thrives in a small friendly environment but is confident working independently.

Key responsibilities

Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records on SAGE (training can be provided)
Processing sales and supplier invoices, managing purchase & sales ledger
Reconciling bank, credit card and expenses
Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines
Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
General credit control duties
Preparing monthly management accounts
Preparing draft yearly accounts
General administration such as ordering stationery supplies, assisting with company insurance etc.

Pay: £15.50-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 – 30.0 per week
