Traynor Furnishings is one of Northern Ireland’s leading independent furniture retailers, and we’re looking for an ambitious, customer-focused salesperson to take ownership of our Dungannon showroom.
This is not a standard retail position. We’re looking for someone who enjoys selling, takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service, and is confident working independently while managing the day-to-day running of the store.

The Role
As the main person in our Dungannon showroom, you will:
- Welcome and assist customers in choosing the right furniture for their home.
- Build rapport and provide an outstanding customer experience.
- Drive sales while maintaining a professional, consultative approach.
- Take ownership of the showroom, ensuring it is presented to the highest standard.
- Process customer orders and use our retail computer systems.
- Handle enquiries both in-store and over the phone.
- Open and close the showroom when required.
- Work independently and manage the store with confidence.
Working Hours
- Tuesday to Saturday (5 days per week)
- Saturdays are essential.
- 37 hours per week.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and professional.
- Naturally good with people and enjoys face-to-face sales.
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
- Reliable, trustworthy and takes pride in their work.
- Well presented with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
- Keen to learn about our products and develop their sales skills.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Furniture sales
- Kitchen or bathroom sales
- Car sales
- Flooring or home improvement sales
- Retail sales involving higher-value products
Previous sales experience is preferred, but attitude, confidence and willingness to learn are just as important.
