Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Working Foreman/Joiner to oversee and participate in joinery projects on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management and supervision within the joinery or construction industry, with proficiency in Primavera P6. This role involves leading a team, ensuring high standards of workmanship, and delivering projects efficiently and safely. The position offers an opportunity to utilise your technical expertise while managing project workflows and team performance.
Duties
- Lead and supervise joinery teams on various construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed to specification and within deadlines
- Coordinate daily operations, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to maintain workflow efficiency
- Oversee the use of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with project managers to plan schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring realistic timelines and resource allocation
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with complex joinery tasks as required
- Conduct quality inspections of work completed, rectifying issues promptly to meet client expectations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all activities on site
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, materials used, and workforce deployment
Experience
- Proven management experience within the joinery or construction sector, with a track record of supervising teams effectively
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and safety procedures
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 for project planning and scheduling is essential
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organise a team efficiently
- Previous experience in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
