Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently, products are prepared accurately for delivery, and stock is handled safely and professionally. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Organise and maintain a clean, safe and efficient warehouse environment.
Pick, check and prepare beds, mattresses and furniture items for next-day deliveries.
Load and unload company delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Receive, inspect and unload incoming supplier deliveries.
Check incoming goods against delivery documentation and report any discrepancies.
Ensure products are stored correctly and warehouse locations are accurately maintained.
Assist with stock counts, inventory management and stock accuracy.
Safely handle mattresses, beds and furniture in accordance with company procedures and manual handling guidelines.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
Work closely with colleagues across the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Skills & Experience

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Forklift licence desirable but not essential.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, with occasional overtime as required to support business needs.

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
