Lee Godbold Ltd (LGL) is looking to recruit a part-time Finance assistant to join their small friendly team based in Fareham. This is a permanent position.

We provide distribution of consumer electronic goods to the specialist AV and CI (Custom Installation) channels. With over 600 clients our customers include Harrods, Selfridges, Sevenoaks, Richer Sounds, Hughes Electrical and the list goes on...

We are a small company, made up of industry experienced and service led professional people. A sample of the brands we manage include Edifier, Audio-Technica, Techlink, Sanus, Pure, CYP, TEAC and many more.

Job Description

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, working 15 hours per week. Working closely with the Finance Administrator, this role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a busy finance environment who has experience of purchase and sales ledger duties, supplier reconciliations, and general finance administration.

Key Responsibilities:

· Raising and issuing sales invoices

· Managing the Accounts email inbox and filing documentation accurately

· Liaising with colleagues, suppliers, and customer representatives regarding finance-related queries

· Scanning and electronically filing documentation

· Setting up and maintaining customer information files and updating master data records

· Reconciling customer accounts, investigating anomalies, and chasing overdue payments

· Supporting the Finance Administrator with ad-hoc finance tasks

· Carrying out additional finance and administrative duties as required

This job description is not exhaustive and the role will develop in due course.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

· Previous experience using SAGE 50 Accounts

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

· Strong organisational and time management skills

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel

· Experience working within a similar SME finance environment

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
