The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, programme, and operate CNC press brake machines
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished components
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Perform quality checks using measuring tools (e.g., callipers, gauges)
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC press brakes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
Desirable Skills
- Experience with specific press brake controls (e.g., Amada, Bystronic)
- Previous experience in a similar engineering or manufacturing environment
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
