Full job description

Qualitops UK Ltd is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated production professional with supervisory experience who is looking to take ownership of a busy production area within a fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production teams, ensuring quality and health & safety standards are maintained whilst achieving production targets. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the production facility while supporting and developing your team.

Main Responsibilities:

Supervise daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations
Ensure machinery is prepared and operational at the start of each day
Managing day-to-day people related matters including performance, attendance and training
Maintain product quality, food safety and compliance standards throughout production
Conduct quality checks and weekly GMP inspections and escalate issues where required
Coordinate production plans and ensure orders are processed effectively
Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when necessary
Ensure the factory remains audit-ready at all times
Ensure accurate production records, traceability and reporting documentation
Work closely with Production Manger to support engineering contractors to minimise downtime and resolve machinery issues
Promote a positive health & safety and food safety culture across the site

Qualifications and personal Qualities required

Food Technology Qualification or Intermediate/advanced Food Hygiene/HACCP certification or minimum 3 years experience in a production supervisory role supplying packaged foods to BRC standards.
Strong Communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
Manual Handling & COSHH qualifications
Experience of delivering hygiene training to small groups and individuals
Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
Objective and systematic approach to problem solving.

Pay: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
