Carlisle Fresh Foods (Supervalu) – Butcher

(Full-Time, Ballynahinch)

Carlisle Fresh Foods is seeking a Butcher to join our team in Ballynahinch.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service
Have practical ability to cut and prepare meat and poultry
Prepare, trim, pack, and label meat and poultry products
Merchandise and present the meat department to the highest standard
Control stock rotation to ensure freshness and quality
Stay informed about new products and initiatives
Replenish and merchandise displays to a high standard
Serve customers professionally at the meat counter
Provide product advice and assist with customer queries
Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
Follow HACCP procedures and company policies
Monitor product quality and presentation throughout the day
Work as part of the team to ensure efficient department operations

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 1 year’s experience in butchery, meat preparation or a similar food retail environment
Experience preparing and packing fresh meat products preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good understanding of food hygiene and HACCP standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational and teamwork skills
Positive attitude with willingness to learn and develop
