Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery and equipment across our hotel. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous operational efficiency.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
Diagnose faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs when necessary
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure seamless operation of automated systems
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and reports for all work performed
Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during maintenance activities
Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal clients’ needs promptly and professionally

Experience

Proven experience in maintenance roles within industrial or manufacturing environments
Strong electrical experience, including working with PLCs and electrical schematics
Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, machine repair, and general troubleshooting
Familiarity with reading technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals
Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance setting
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
