Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Source Heat Pump Install/Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air source heat pump systems across various residential and commercial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical systems, air conditioning, and construction to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Duties

Install, commission, and test air source heat pump systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing heat pump units to ensure optimal performance.
Repair and replace faulty components, including compressors, fans, valves, and electrical parts.
Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts to facilitate accurate installation and servicing.
Lead on-site projects, supervising junior team members where applicable to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with clients to explain system functions, maintenance procedures, and answer technical queries.
Adhere to health and safety regulations during all phases of installation and maintenance work.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system diagnostics for each project.

Experience

Proven experience in mechanical systems repair, air source Heat pumps.
Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to heat pump systems.
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members on-site.
Practical experience in equipment repair within the construction or maintenance sectors is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the installation and servicing of air source heat pumps or similar renewable energy systems.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to electrical work and building sites.
