Full job description

Aberdeen University Students' Association is looking for a Democracy Coordinator to support student representation, democratic engagement and student leadership across the University of Aberdeen.

This role will help deliver key democratic activities including elections, Class Representatives, representative forums and student leadership development. The successful candidate will work closely with students, Elected Officers and University colleagues to ensure students have meaningful opportunities to influence their university experience.

About the Role

You will:

Support the delivery of student elections
Coordinate and support the Class Representative system
Help develop student leaders and representatives
Support democratic meetings and representative forums
Organise training, events and engagement activities
Build strong relationships with students and University colleagues
Monitor participation and engagement and help improve systems

About You

You will have:

Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting volunteers, representatives or student leaders
Experience organising events, meetings or engagement activities
A commitment to student voice, participation and inclusion
