Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment, contributing to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Prepare ingredients and organise workstations for efficient service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment and work areas
Contribute to the presentation of dishes, ensuring visual appeal aligns with company standards
Support meal preparation during busy service periods, working efficiently under pressure
Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for all team members

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Good organisational skills with attention to detail during meal preparation and presentation
Basic understanding of culinary techniques and ingredients
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service periods
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning and development
