Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience or those eager to develop their skills in commercial cleaning. The position is paid and suitable for organised, detail-oriented individuals committed to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, washrooms, corridors, and communal spaces, ensuring all surfaces are hygienic and presentable.
Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products efficiently and safely to meet health and safety standards.
Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and quality of service.
Dispose of waste responsibly, adhering to environmental policies.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties to the supervisor promptly.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes.
Good organisational skills and reliability.
Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment or supplies as needed.
A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices in the workplace.
