Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programmes, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress, needs, and any concerns.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Monitor children's activities to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Collaborate with external agencies as necessary to support children’s individual needs.

Requirements

Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or childcare setting.
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience working with children in various age groups is essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
