Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residential and commercial properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating clean, welcoming environments. Applicants should possess good communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in customer service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard
Maintain supplies and inform management when stock levels are low
Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning requirements and preferences
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Assist with organising cleaning schedules and prioritising tasks based on client needs
Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour when interacting with clients

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately
