Full job description

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient yard environment, supporting daily operations through the safe handling, movement, and storage of materials. The Yard Operative plays a key role in ensuring stock is managed correctly, vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely, and that health and safety procedures are followed at all times. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, outdoor environment.

What You’ll Do

Picking orders to meet customer requirements
Assisting and serving calling customers
Assisting yard personnel with the loading of customer and company vehicles
General housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy yard and production area
Adhering to all Health and Safety procedures at all times

What You Need (Essential)

A hardworking approach and willingness to learn
A keen interest in timber and building materials
