Dental Receptionist

Antrim House Dental Practice
88 Old Fallings Lane, Wolverhampton

Full-time | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and welcoming team at Antrim House Dental Practice as a Dental Receptionist.

This role is primarily based on reception, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk. The successful candidate will also support the clinical team with dental nursing duties when required.

We welcome applications from:

Qualified Dental Nurses (sponsorship available if needed)
Trainee Dental Nurses who are already enrolled on a recognised Dental Nursing course
Overseas Dentists looking to gain valuable experience within a UK dental practice. (Applicants must already hold a valid work visa. Sponsorship may be available for qualified nurses.)

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent spoken and written English.
Has exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Is friendly, caring, professional and enjoys working with people.
Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Is confident using computers and willing to learn dental practice software.
Can work efficiently in a busy environment while remaining calm and professional.
Works well both independently and as part of a team.
If applicable, already has the legal right to work in the UK and holds their own valid work visa. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Reception Duties

Welcoming patients and creating a positive first impression.
Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
Booking, amending and managing appointments.
Taking payments and maintaining accurate patient records.
Liaising with patients regarding appointments and treatment plans.
Providing outstanding customer service at all times.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area.

Dental Nursing Duties (when required)

Assisting clinicians during dental procedures.
Preparing treatment rooms and equipment.
Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining instruments.
Supporting patients before, during and after treatment.
Maintaining high standards of cross-infection control and compliance.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:45am – 6:00pm
Friday: 8:45am – 4:00pm

Occasional late evening working may be required to meet the needs of the practice.
