Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Pharmacy Apprentice to join our healthcare team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in pharmacy operations, patient care, and medication management. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to develop essential skills in a professional environment. Prior experience in pharmacy or healthcare settings is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision
- Support pharmacy staff with administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate patient records
- Help organise medication stock levels and ensure proper storage conditions
- Provide excellent patient care by answering basic queries and guiding patients on medication usage
- Support medication administration processes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control measures
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
