The Role
As a Senior Accounts Assistant at Fleximize, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
We're therefore looking for self-motivated people that are highly proficient in the use of computer software (especially Microsoft Excel), good with numbers, organised, methodical, and with a strong attention to detail.
This is an excellent opportunity to launch a career in finance and gain the necessary skills and qualifications required to work in a finance department as a Senior Account Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in financial accounting
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and post accruals and prepayments
- Assist with period end procedures
- Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet items
- Support the finance team including inbox monitoring
- Calculating settlement figures
- Support audit requirements
- Support financial operations of the team including admin tasks as required
- Support weekly and monthly reporting requirements
- Allocating receipts to customer accounts accurately
- Setting up payments using internet banking
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll have;
- AAT Qualification or close to completing it
- A Levels (or equivalent)
- Good numerical skills
- Proficiency in using Excel (Lookups, Sumifs etc)
- Skilled analytically, administratively, and organisationally, as well as a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Takes ownership of creating and performing reconciliations and investigating variances
- Experience working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload
- A passion for learning and self-development
- Experience of working in the financial services sector desirable but not essential

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
