Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in office management, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon and assist them with check-in procedures.
Make outbound calls to build positive relationships with clients through friendly and professional communication.
Manage appointment scheduling using salon software, ensuring optimal use of stylist time.
Handle incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing client inquiries and booking appointments.
Responding to all email enquires throughout the day
Maintain an organised reception area, keeping it tidy and presentable at all times.
Perform data entry tasks accurately, updating client records and appointment details as needed.
Process payments and manage cash handling duties in accordance with salon policies.
Familiarity with using Phorest Bookings is preferred
Assist clients with product purchases and service recommendations

Requirements

Previous experience in a receptionist or within an administrative role
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Proficient in using computer systems and software applications preferably using Phorest CRM.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner.
Attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping.
A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.

Working Conditions:

Based at the salon front desk, with interaction with clients and staff throughout the day.
Requires standing for extended periods.
May include evening and weekend shifts to accommodate salon hours.

Qualifications:

Education: Grade 5 GCSE maths and English or equivalent; additional education in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a salon or spa environment.
