Full job description

We are looking for chefs at two of our locations on Folkestone Harbour. "Hatch Chicken" - which is a rotisserie chicken street food hut in The Goods Yard which is a fast pace, high volume site. And "The Boardroom" - which has a much larger menu, and more of your classic kitchen style.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop your culinary skills further while contributing to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for managing specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, and maintaining food safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
Oversee the preparation of ingredients and ensure timely delivery of dishes during service
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in your designated section
Assist in organising kitchen workflow to optimise efficiency during busy periods
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and excellent presentation of meals
Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment
Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as required
Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised in accordance with health regulations

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a similar role such as Demi Chef or Commis Chef
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is advantageous
Experience serving customers or working in a hospitality setting is beneficial but not essential

Pay: £10,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
