Nasymth IEC Limited is looking for 3 Machining Apprentices to join their busy team while studying for a Machining Technician L3 Apprenticeship.
What you will learn:
- Apprentices will learn from experienced professionals, gain hands-on industry experience, and develop the skills needed for a successful career in engineering within a high-quality aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning all aspects of manual and CNC milling and turning
- Assisting with the machining of stainless steel, aluminium and other engineering materials
- Learning how to set tools and operate machinery safely
- Developing CNC programming skills
- Using a variety of measuring and inspection equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Completing job cards and production documentation
- Following health and safety procedures and working to 5S standards
- Supporting the production team to manufacture high-quality aerospace components.
As your skills and knowledge develop, you will take on increasing responsibility and gain experience across all aspects of machining and engineering manufacture

Working Week: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday – 7.15am-4.15pm, Friday 7am-12noon – one day per week set aside for work-based study.
Salary: £16,640 per annum in line with the Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage with increases set from year 2 age dependant. For further information please see the information on ANMW below.
Qualifications Required: GCSE Math and English minimum grade 4 is required to be eligible to apply for this apprenticeship
Future Prospects: There is potential for a permanent role on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Things you need to know:
- This is a 47-month apprenticeship plus a 3-month end point assessment.
- Learning will be work based with occasional attendance at Worthing College.
- To apply you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years before the start date of the apprenticeship learning and have authorisation to work in the UK.
- You cannot apply if you already have a qualification equal to or higher than the apprenticeship standard being studied.
- You can apply if you have a higher qualification than the apprenticeship standard in an unrelated subject.
- You will need to have achieved the minimum GCSE grades in English and Maths to be eligible to apply.
- You will need to be able to travel to site each day and there is free parking for anyone driving to the office.
- Benefits include 25 days holiday, Medical Cash Back and a salary increase in year 2 to Under 18 - £8.50ph, 18-20 - £12.35ph, 21 and over - £14.21ph
Further Information: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £8.00 per hour (As of the 1st April 2026). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16- to18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
