Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. As a key member of our kitchen, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment while honing your skills in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
Lead by example in fostering a positive, organised, and professional work environment.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality setting.
Extensive food production knowledge with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse staff members.
In-depth understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Proficient in serving customers courteously while maintaining high standards of service quality.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. This position offers an engaging environment for culinary professionals eager to advance their careers while delivering outstanding dining experiences.
