Salary: £47,045.00 - To: £57,766.00

Job Scale: Soulbury A 2-7

Job Hours: 29.60

Location: Y Ganolfan Ddinesig / Civic Centre

Speciality:

SALARY = SOULBURY POINT A 2 - 7 + 3 POSSIBLE SPA.
£47,045 - £57,766 per annum pro rata = £37,636 - £46,212.80 + 3 POSSIBLE SPA .

29.6 HOURS PER WEEK (NEGOTIABLE)

1. To assist in the delivery of Educational Psychology Services to learners and their families.
2. To provide psychological support and advice to preschool, school and post-16 settings.
3. To use psychology to assist Merthyr Tydfil Local Authority in meeting the needs of children and young people and fulfilling the LA’s statutory obligations.
4. To assist in the identification of strengths and difficulties of children and young people who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN) within the County Borough. To advise appropriate provision to meet their ALN.
5. To take a lead role in assisting settings, teachers, parents and other partner agencies with regards to ALN reform.
6. To deliver interventions, including therapeutic work and training as needed.
7. To assist in research that enables the progressions of positive, evidence-based practice at all levels within the LA.
