Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Caseworker to join our SEND Assessment and Review team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

Our SEND Assessments and Review team is a supportive, collaborative group dedicated to making a real difference for children, young people and their families. We work closely together, sharing knowledge, supporting one another and celebrating successes whilst building strong partnerships with schools, professionals and the wider community to deliver the best possible outcomes.

What youll be doing:

Leading and coordinating SEND assessments and reviews, ensuring everything stays on track and meets key deadlines
Working closely with families, schools and partners to create meaningful, person-centred plans that make a real difference
Championing positive outcomes for children and young people, helping them thrive through the right support at the right time
Managing a varied caseload, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced, rewarding environment
Contributing to service improvements and new initiatives, helping shape how SEND services are delivered in the future.

You will work alongside the Senior Caseworker and Team Manager to ensure statutory duties for children and young people who have special educational needs are met.

Has knowledge and experience of SEND legislation and procedures, and can apply this confidently in practice
Thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities
Is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs
Demonstrates resilience and tenacity, with the confidence to both support and challenge others to achieve the best results
Can manage competing priorities and meet legal timescales, while maintaining high standards
Is able to prioritise their own workload effectively and stay organised under pressure
Has a commitment to continuous learning and developing new skills.
