About Us
The Rozel Pub & Dining is one of Jersey's most popular harbour-side pub and dining destinations, situated in the beautiful Rozel Bay. We are passionate about delivering outstanding food, exceptional hospitality, and memorable experiences for both locals and visitors.
We are seeking an ambitious and talented Head Chef to lead the small kitchen team, drive standards, and help shape the future of our food offering. The position will start as soon as possible.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef or an ambitious Senior Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their career.
You will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management, including team leadership, menu development, food quality, stock control, profitability, and compliance. Working closely with the owners and management team, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing our reputation as one of Jersey's leading dining pubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team.
- Maintain consistently high food quality and presentation standards.
- Create and develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships.
- Control food costs, wastage, and labour costs.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Deliver excellent service standards during busy trading periods.
- Support the overall commercial success of the business.
About You
You will:
- Have previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef.
- Be passionate about fresh, quality ingredients and well-executed dishes.
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
- Have a good understanding of food costing and kitchen financial performance.
- Thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Take pride in developing and mentoring others.
- Be organised, professional, and driven by high standards.
