We are excited to be recruiting for a new Play Fitter to join our expanding Parks and Play team, this role is to help maintain Middlesbrough’s play areas and the councils fleet of vehicles.
For the successful candidate this unique role involves a mixture of carrying out inspections, maintaining and repairing play areas across the town, carrying out welding tasks associated with routine maintenance and repairs of railings, foot bridges, fencing, as well as welding repairs to council vehicles.
To fulfil this role, you need to be fit, enthusiastic, polite, flexible and approachable, you must be qualified to carry out either or both MIG and STICK welding, hold a full driving license and have a basic knowledge of general workshop tools, along with a good understanding of Health & Safety. You will contribute to the development and implementation of our play strategy.
Works hours
37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 7:30am – 5.00pm
