Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our logistics operations. The successful candidate will oversee daily warehouse activities, optimise processes, and ensure efficient materials handling. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will play a key role in maintaining safety standards, improving operational workflows, and supporting the overall success of our supply chain operations.

Duties

Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities
Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure productivity and safety compliance
Oversee materials handling processes, ensuring proper storage, movement, and inventory accuracy
Implement process improvements to optimise workflow efficiency and reduce costs
Support logistics planning, including scheduling shipments and managing stock levels
Conduct safety inspections and promote a safe working environment for all staff
Assist in training team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and system utilisation

Experience

Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles, preferably within a fast-moving environment
Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and heavy lifting safety procedures
Hands-on experience with forklift operation and mechanical knowledge of warehouse equipment
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or supervising teams in a warehouse setting
Good organisational skills with the ability to optimise processes through process improvement initiatives
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to warehousing operations

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to advance their career within warehouse management while contributing to operational excellence.

Working hours will be 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
