Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Bakery Hygiene Operative. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm, with an immediate start available.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build their skills in a supportive working environment. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided, although an interest in food production or manufacturing would be beneficial.
The role would suit a reliable and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards. You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team within a well-established local business, offering a stable and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out all cleaning activities in accordance with the site Cleaning Schedule, ensuring standards are consistently met.
· Safely dismantle, clean, and reassemble equipment, replacing worn parts in line with manufacturer specifications.
· Perform general cleaning duties as required by a Hygiene Operative.
· Ensure all tasks are completed in full compliance with site health and safety procedures.
· Complete all required training relevant to the role.
· Support and assist with the site’s pest control programme.
· Communicate requirements for hygiene equipment, consumables, uniform, and PPE in a timely manner.
· Accurately complete and maintain all routine hygiene records and documentation.
· Report any issues or maintenance requirements relating to hygiene equipment promptly and effectively.
· Promote and support site waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
· Actively contribute to continuous improvement of hygiene standards and associated costs through problem-solving and suggestions.
· Embrace and support change, contributing positively to new initiatives and processes.
· Assist with preparation for and day-to-day management of third-party audits.
· Provide support to other departments as required to ensure hygiene standards and objectives are consistently achieved.
