Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on the use of power tools and hand tools, as well as a basic understanding of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems as needed.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
Perform general labour duties such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a labour-intensive role is preferred but not essential.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices on site.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
