Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive repair and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves working with a range of tools and equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs
Carry out assembly tasks following manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines
Execute welding tasks as required for structural repairs or modifications
Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and solutions clearly to clients

Experience

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop environment
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues effectively
Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools
Experience with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes
Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle makes and models
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently under pressure
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
