Full job description

As a busy city centre hotel we are looking for a part time kitchen porter to join our team.

The main duties are:

To ensure all surfaces are clean, sweep and mop the floors through the day.
To ensure all cooking equipment, utensils and kitchen machinery are clean
To ensure all cooking equipment and utensils are stored correctly and to the required standard
To ensure the correct disposal of all waste food products
The receiving and checking of deliveries
The correct storage of all food produce
Date checking and rotating stock

The right person should be able to maintain high standards of appearance and good personal hygiene; be a good team player; have the ability to work under pressure; be a good listener and communicator.

It is preferable that you have a basic food hygiene certificate; however this is not essential as training will be provided. Other duties may include some kitchen prep during services for functions and events.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour

Experience:

Dishwashers & Kitchen Porters: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
