About The Role

We have an exciting new role for a Business Development Manager to join our Test and Monitoring team, who will be integral to the success of our national sales strategy, ensuring that we have a consistent, joined-up approach to managing our customer base. There really couldn’t be a better time to join, as you’ll make the key decisions, shape the strategy and implement your growth plan.

The role will proactively manage and grow the Test and Monitoring revenue nationally, collaborating and liaising with the full SBR Regional, National and dedicated focus teams. The role involves working alongside the field and internal based teams and is fundamental in supporting our revenue & growth through a solution lead approach.

Key Responsibilities ;

Growing Test & Monitoring revenue and profit streams by supporting our National, Local & Regional customers creating and closing new sales opportunities by engaging in field sales, specialist functions and operations in delivering account plans and resolving customer issues.
Develops and drives new product awareness across the network, upskilling colleagues and stimulating customer demand by becoming a trusted advisor.
Offers specialist technical support and site survey advice supporting both depot network and sales teams where required on joint visits.
Preparing presentations and quotations
Work with team and Supports National BDM in delivering against agreed account plans that maximise T&M’s revenue across all preferred supply opportunities covered in our Agreements to target end users and specific accounts using detailed account strategy plans and a solution lead approach.
Supports on campaign management and product specific focus for target accounts.
Embrace social media fully and utilise effectively to grow personal profile, customer network and Sunbelt Rentals awareness.
To deliver a high level of customer service in partnership with Service Centres and Business Sales Teams.

To succeed as a Business Development Manager you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

Ability to build and develop solid customer relationships and nurture their personal credibility with clients.
A friendly and highly personable approach.

Confident, with a ‘Can do’ positive attitude.
Considerable sales experience of working closely with large customers.
Good understanding of hire contracts and terms.
Commercial Acumen – to ensure competitive contracts are proposed and bid for.
Excellent communication and presentation skills – both internally and externally
Teamwork – able to work across teams and across the company
Experience of developing effective customer relationships, generating real business growth and winning and developing new business.
Experience of plant hire or construction industry.
A knowledge and understanding of Service Level Agreements and how to use them as a means to facilitate revenue.
Track record in delivering clear and measurable improvements in revenue.
Demonstrable experience of influencing and negotiation skills.
Managed approach with the ability to balance day to day activities with a focus on delivering long term objectives.
Innovative approach with the ability to move quickly in order to exploit business opportunities.
High level of personal drive and motivation for achieving stretching targets.
Numerical reasoning and analytical skills to review and draw appropriate conclusions from performance and KPIs.|
