Activities Coordinator

Activities - Angusfield House Care Home

Contract: Full Time

Salary: £12.86 Per Hour

Shift Type: Days

Contracted hours: 32 hours

Angusfield House Care Home provides nursing, dementia, and palliative care for up to 40 residents, located in Aberdeen's West End

Activities Coordinator Contract

£12.86 per hour
Contracted to 32 hours per week
Day shifts available
Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

As Activities Coordinator, you will play an important role in creating a vibrant and engaging environment where residents feel included, valued and excited about the day ahead. Caring for residents goes far beyond daily support, and your role will help ensure each day is filled with fun, variety, stimulation and opportunities for meaningful social connection.

Building strong relationships with residents and understanding their individual personalities, preferences and interests is key to success in this role. From organising group activities and celebrations to creating one to one engagement and encouraging residents to continue enjoying the hobbies they love, you will make a genuine difference to wellbeing and quality of life throughout the home.

What Matters Most

A sociable, creative and naturally engaging personality
Strong organisational skills and confidence planning activity programmes
Genuine passion for working with older people and supporting wellbeing
Ability to build meaningful relationships and encourage participation
Confidence leading activities, events and group sessions
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in activities, events, hospitality, care or customer facing roles is beneficial but not essential
