Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Dance Teacher to join our team at Razzamataz Theatre Schools Chesterfield. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for working with children and young people aged 4 to 18. You will be responsible for planning and delivering exciting, high-quality dance sessions that are both skills-based and fun. Our aim is to help students develop strong dance technique, build confidence, and express themselves in a supportive, inclusive environment where they can thrive and have fun along the way.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons for children and young people aged 4 - 18.
Create an inclusive, supportive environment where students can build confidence and enjoy learning through movement.
Develop students' dance technique, performance quality, and understanding of musical theatre and commercial dance styles in preparation for end-of-year performances.
Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and ensure lessons align with the Razzamataz brand.
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues while ensuring student safety and well-being at all times.

Requirements

Experience in dance and performance, with a strong foundation in musical theatre and commercial dance styles.
Previous experience working with children and young people, ideally in a teaching, coaching or mentoring role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students.
Knowledge of effective dance teaching techniques and the ability to adapt to different ages and abilities.
A passion for building confidence, creativity, and performance skills in young dancers.
