Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle guest enquiries efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a positive guest experience and uphold the high standards of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the booking system
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to guests
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared promptly
Address guest concerns or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
Uphold hotel policies regarding safety, security, and confidentiality at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in both written and spoken English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Friendly, approachable manner with a professional appearance
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service principles is desirable
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
