Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and medication management to contribute meaningfully to patient wellbeing. Candidates with prior pharmacy dispenser experience, knowledge of medication administration, and a strong commitment to patient care are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries related to medication usage and safety
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
Support inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment
Follow strict confidentiality protocols when handling patient information and medication details
Assist patients with over the counter queries and medications and refer to pharmacist when appropriate

Experience

Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety guidelines is advantageous
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and support
Organised, detail-focused, with excellent organisational skills and accuracy in work tasks
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team within a busy environment
