Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and a passion for vehicle maintenance. The position involves working with a range of tools and equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and adhering to safety standards at all times.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repairs, and modifications
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify issues accurately
Carry out equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime
Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components safely and efficiently
Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards

Experience

Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance within an automotive or similar environment
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for various repair tasks
Experience in assembly, equipment repair, and general maintenance work is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Prior experience providing quality customer service is advantageous
