Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Dessert Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular flair for creating exquisite desserts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your baking skills and contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences. The Dessert Chef will be responsible for designing, preparing, and presenting a variety of delectable desserts that meet our high standards of quality and visual appeal.

Duties

Prepare and produce a wide range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, puddings, and specialised confectionery items.
Ensure all desserts are prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food preparation and service.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dessert menus and seasonal specials.
Monitor ingredient stock levels and place orders to ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
Assist in the organisation of dessert displays for service periods, ensuring an attractive presentation.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
Support other kitchen activities as required during busy service times.

Skills

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong background in baking, pastry arts, and confectionery techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Creative flair for dessert presentation and menu development.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A passion for culinary arts with a focus on delivering exceptional dessert offerings. This position offers an engaging environment for culinary professionals eager to refine their skills and create delightful desserts that leave a lasting impression on guests.

Pay: £12.21-£19.30 per hour
