Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. We are a smaller early years settings ( childminder) with 12 to 14 children a day. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development through engaging activities, nurturing care, and creating a safe, stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on young children's lives. The role involves working closely with children, parents, and colleagues to promote learning and well-being in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental milestones.
Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in accordance with regulatory standards.
Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
Support children’s emotional well-being and behaviour management through positive reinforcement.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery or childcare setting.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
Assist with organisational tasks such as preparing learning materials and maintaining cleanliness of the environment.
Support management in implementing policies related to health, safety, and safeguarding.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Proven management or leadership skills within a childcare context are advantageous.
Experience in organising activities that promote learning through play.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring transportation or home visits.
