Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our aquatic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive learning environment for all ages and abilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to share your passion for swimming while helping clients achieve their personal goals. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong interest in teaching swimming.

Duties

Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons tailored to individual needs and skill levels
Monitor participants during lessons to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
Develop customised lesson plans to improve technique, confidence, and water safety awareness
Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to students to facilitate learning
Maintain a clean and organised pool area, ensuring all equipment is in good condition
Enforce pool rules and safety regulations diligently during all sessions
Assist with organising group classes, private lessons, and specialised training programmes
Foster a supportive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment of swimming

Experience

Previous experience in teaching, particularly in aquatic environments, is highly desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all ages
Knowledge of water safety standards and first aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
Passion for teaching and promoting healthy activity through swimming
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
