Full job description

We are looking for an individual to work across our Payroll and Bookkeeping departments. Entry level / Trainee position will be considered.

The job will include:

Payroll:

· Running weekly and monthly payrolls on Sage.

· Providing our clients with an excellent service by ensuring payrolls are accurately completed to the agreed timescale.

Bookeeping:

· Being responsible for the bookkeeping needs of your own portfolio of clients

· Data entry

· Filing

· Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Sage

· Processing sales orders and purchase orders in Sage

· Bank reconciliations

· VAT returns

· Communication with clients

We expect the successful candidate to have, or be able to have (with training):

· GCSE Mathematics qualification – Minimum grade C / 5

· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

· Ability to work independently and manage own workload

· Flexible and adaptable approach to work with the ability to multi-task

· Great attention to detail

· Team player attitude

· Excellent communication skills

· Understanding of client confidentiality

· Bookkeeping/Payroll Qualification (not essential)

· Experience using Sage for bookkeeping/payroll (not essential)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. (We are open to offering a part-time role for the right candidate)

Job Location: Hebden Bridge

Salary: Depending on level of experience.

Start date: As soon as possible
