Dental nurse

Dental nurse wanted for private dental practice in Morecambe. The role would suite someone with a conscientious friendly personality, good interpersonal skill, who can work independently and well as part of a team, take on new skills, accept leadership, be professional and reliable, clean and tidy, support and mentor other members of the team. The applicant would have acquaintance with basic word processing and spreadsheet programs, general computer and technology knowledge, ability to work under pressure with accuracy, be dependable and act professionally with the public are essential. Up-to date inoculations, GDC, DBS and a certificate of hep B status are required to fulfill the requirements for the role. Pay is subject to experience.

Job description:

You will be a member of a team whose responsibilities are maintaining and setting standards, housekeeping, chairside assisting, reception/administration and decontamination. Your role is to sterilise and organise medical equipment and instruments, manage and order clinical stock, materials and drugs as well as general reception duties, dealing with patient payments, clinical record filling, arranging appointments, assist in dental procedures, follow practice policies and procedures, liaise with other professionals and companies, support business marketing. The applicant must be willing to take on new processes and systems and work towards gaining new skills. Relative confidence with computers and office software is beneficial.
