At Seaton House, seafood isn't an afterthought — it's the reason guests book a table. Our kitchens turn East Coast oysters, Argyll langoustines and the best of Fife's larder into food that earns its place on a five-star pass, night after night.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team and shape the dining experience across Seaton House's restaurants and bars. You'll bring:
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a 5-star hotel, or a Rosette/Michelin-recognised restaurant
A strong command of modern cooking techniques and current food trends, with the ability to develop distinctive, well-executed dishes
The confidence to lead and inspire a brigade ranging from Sous Chefs to Commis Chefs, balancing hands-on cooking with strategic kitchen management
A commitment to upholding food safety and culinary standards across all of Seaton House's kitchens
Strong supplier relationships, with the know-how to secure premium local ingredients at the right price
A genuine interest in mentoring junior chefs and helping the brigade grow
Close collaboration with front-of-house and management teams to keep service running smoothly
This is a chance to work in a serious, highly regarded kitchen alongside skilled chefs, with real input into the food that defines the hotel's reputation.

About Seaton House
Seaton House sits beside the first tee of the Old Course in St Andrews, with views across West Sands beach and the Fife coastline. Originally built in 1864 and known for many years as the Scores Hotel, the building has been carefully restored and reopened as Seaton House — 42 bedrooms, including six suites and three junior suites, and a food and beverage offering led by Ondine Oyster & Grill, alongside The Board Room and Old Tom's Bar. The hotel works closely with local producers along the Fife coast, and brings genuine Scottish hospitality to one of the world's most famous golfing towns.
