Accommodation & Reception Manager
At Samlesbury Hall, we pride ourselves on creating unforgettable experiences for every guest who visits our beautiful historic venue. From our quirky Shepherd’s Huts to our luxurious spa and gatehouse accommodation, we offer something truly special — and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Accommodation Manager to join our friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys leading people, and thrives in a fast-paced but rewarding environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests receive the warm welcome and exceptional service that Samlesbury Hall is known for.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.

The Role
As Accommodation Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of our accommodation operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly across reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.

You’ll be a hands-on leader who enjoys working closely with people and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities
> Oversee all aspects of accommodation operations, including reception, housekeeping, and maintenance
> Lead, motivate, and support the accommodation team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
> Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs in a warm and professional manner
> Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints efficiently and positively
> Carry out regular inspections of guest rooms and communal areas to maintain the highest standards
> Work closely with housekeeping to ensure timely room turnaround and excellent cleanliness standards
> Implement and maintain operational procedures to continually improve service quality
> Coordinate with other departments across the Hall to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
> Monitor budgets, forecasting, and cost controls to support business performance
> Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements
> Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and team meetings
> Help create a positive and supportive working environment where the team can thrive
> Uphold and promote the welcoming and unique values of Samlesbury Hall
> Promotion of the Accommodation, ensuring our offer is consistently marketed.

> Previous experience in accommodation or hospitality management
> Strong leadership and team management skills
> Excellent customer service and communication abilities
> A proactive and organised approach to problem solving
> High attention to detail and pride in maintaining standards
> Confidence using accommodation and booking software systems
> The ability to remain calm and adaptable in a busy environment
> A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable stays for guests
> Experience in marketing accommodation

Working Hours
