We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Tool Hire Assistant in our Mansfield branch!

As a Tool Hire Assistant at Jewson, you will play a key role in ensuring
customers receive safe, well-maintained equipment and excellent service.

As part of the role, you may be required to drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

This is a part-time role working ideally Monday, Wednesday and Friday 08:00-14:00 and the occasional Saturday may be required between 8am – 12pm.

What You ’ll Be Doing :

Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient, effective and safe operations
Inspect, test, and carry out basic repairs on a range of tools and small plant (e.g., breakers, saws, mixers, access equipment)
Conduct pre-delivery checks to ensure tools and machinery are clean, safe, and fully operational

Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro-active cross selling

Deliver and collect customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders are accurate and all equipment is secured and loaded/offloaded safely in accordance with company procedures

Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire product

Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and record keeping
