Our Little Explorers Nursery in Knighton, is currently looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant (Lunch Cover) to join our team. They will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.

Working Hours:
Afternoons 1pm-6pm or 12.30pm-5.30pm

Our Curriculum

Sweet Peas (Babies & Younger Toddlers): A cosy environment for rest, sensory play, and early discovery, with an integrated changing area.
Daisies & Preschool: An open-plan space supporting creativity, independence, and school readiness through both adult-led and child-led activities.

Children move between rooms based on their individual readiness, ensuring a child-centred transition.
Outdoor Learning
Our outdoor area includes lawned play spaces, a sandpit, loose-parts equipment, and gardening opportunities, encouraging physical development, imagination, and exploration.
Activities & Community Links
Children enjoy Sing and Sign, Make and Bake, and a range of creative and sensory experiences. Regular community outings, including visits to local shops, help children learn about healthy living and the world around them.

What will you be doing

Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
