Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Carpenter to join our team at MJG. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience across various trades, with Carpentry being there main trade. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse & exciting projects. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to high standards of craftsmanship and safety.

Duties

Constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures using a variety of materials and techniques
Performing carpentry tasks such as cut roofs, stud work, fitting doors, windows and kitchens.
Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations and building codes

Skills

Proven experience in all aspects of carpentry.
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, chisels
Competence in using power tools including angle grinders, nail guns, drills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Candidates should demonstrate versatility across trades and a commitment to quality workmanship. A valid driving licence is essential. All roles are paid positions that offer valuable experience within the construction industry.
